How do I know if I need to ship as a Category A or Category B?

Specific guidelines are available to help you determine whether your specimen should be shipped as either Category A or Category B. Please refer to IATA 3.6.2 “Classification of Infectious Material” for more information.

How often do I need dangerous goods training?

Dangerous goods training is required every 2 years for international transport of Category A specimens. Inmark offers many convenient training programs. Visit our Compliance Training page for more information.

If I have a frozen sample, is it liquid or solid according to the regulations?

Frozen samples are treated as a liquid when shipping, according to domestic and international regulations.

Is the product I’m looking for in stock?

Depending on your specific need, we may have your product in stock. Some specialty products; however, must be shipped from the manufacturer. Contact your Inmark representative for your specific request.

Is there a minimum purchase requirement?

Depending on your specific packaging need, there may be a specific quantity required to order. Please contact an Inmark consultant to learn more.

May I re-use packaging?

Generally, we do not recommend reusing specimen transport materials. In very rare cases, some packaging may be designed for reuse. Contact us for more information.

What are your payment options?

We accept payment via all major credit cards, by check or ACH. A credit application is required prior to purchase.

What is an “Exempt Human Specimen”?

For assistance in determining specific requirements and classifications of your specimen, please contact the regulatory experts at Inmark.

What is the lead time on my product?

Each customer and order is different; however, we typically ship within 10 business days of your order. Your Inmark representative can provide you with a more accurate estimate.

Who needs to receive dangerous goods training?

Anyone in your organization who is involved in the transport of dangerous goods is required to attend dangerous goods training.
